Towards a tanslatological study of multilinguism : translating the insertion of dialect within contemporary Italian narrative into French

This PhD thesis examines Italian contemporary literary works (novels and short stories) in which dialect is used as a linguistic variety in combination with the national Italian idiom. The analysis is conducted through the works of four Italian writers, in which multilingualism is particularly significant: Andrea Camilleri, Salvatore Niffoi, Laura Pariani and Andrej Longo. This paper aims at casting light on the first Arab-language gay magazine from Morocco and the Arab World. “Mithly”, which in Arabic has the double meaning of “homo” and “like me”, appeared for the first time on the web and in print (200 copies) in Rabat on April 1st 2010. The first issue, composed of fifteen pages (fourteen in Arabic and one in French), contains articles on different themes: reflections on politics, life and love, personal experiences and a short story, whose integral Italian translation is offered in Appendix.

The subject of the article entitled ‘‘Portrait of the end of an epoch in Ladislav Fuks’ novel Vévodkyně a kuchařka” is the reflection on the last work of the novelist published in 1983. Apart from old age, which is the conference key matter and is considered mainly on the level of literary character (in this case such strategy may be related to arepresentative of an aristocracy prince Leuchtenberg-Aulendorf), the author dedicates majority of attention to metaphorical understanding of this issue. The volume, set up in honor of Domenica Perrone, collects contributions of different slant (essays, didactic interventions, testimonials) on a shared work theme: the representation of the house in modern and contemporary literature. The house therefore acquires the value of a privileged space of figurative precipitation, in which the founding nuclei of the literary work are deposited; deciphering the many meanings that lie behind its walls allows access to the author's inventive workshop and to observe the secret life of the characters.

Kwestie te są rozważane na przykładzie refleksji, artystycznych postaw i życiowych decyzji wypracowanych przez Renatę Putzlacher-Buchtovą, polską pisarkę urodzoną i mieszkającą przez znaczną część swojego życia na Zaolziu.
